Why make your own Taco Bell Copycat Quesadilla Sauce? Besides the fact that it’s cheaper, I’d like to explain further 🙂
Jump to RecipeI don’t know about you, but do you know what makes Taco Bell’s Chicken Quesadillas so addicting? I believe it is the delicious sauce! I’m in love with this stuff! My only problem is, sometimes, the heat is a bit more than I want it to be. It’s only a problem when I’m eating in public, and it’s the reason why my nose is running :/
My solution to this problem? I’ve learned to make this sauce myself so that I can control the heat variables! I call it my Taco Bell Copycat Quesadilla Sauce, and this sauce is GOLD. If you love eating out, this will bring some Taco Bell to your own little kitchen at home. Your family will love it, but so will your wallet!
Ingredients Needed
To start, I used:
- Mayonnaise (I like the Kroger brand with olive oil in it)
- Paprika
- Cummin
- Red Cayenne Pepper
- Garlic
- Sugar
- Pickled Jalapenos
- Jalapeno Juice
If you’d like to watch me play with the ingredients and the amounts, watch my video on Instagram, Facebook, or Tiktok! I will give measurement estimates below in the recipe!
I always dice up 2 of the jalapenos finely before adding them. Use a whisk when mixing it all together to be sure it’s all combined evenly. Add more sugar if you’d like it to have less heat!
Truthfully, the Jalapenos themselves are not hot; it’s the seeds inside. So I avoid putting the seeds in the sauce entirely. The pickled jalapenos also have less heat than your typical ones. If you’d like a little more heat, find a fresh jalapeno and give it a try! 🙂
